Energy Retrofits...

Energy retrofits involve strategic and intensive air sealing and insulating of the existing building envelope. The building envelope is the roof, ceilings, walls and floors of the building. In addition to air sealing and insulating, energy retrofits can involve HVAC, plumbing and electrical system upgrades, as well as necessary repairs to the building/structure.

After the building is audited, Comfy House evaluates the audit data and produces an audit report. The audit report lists the audit findings/building issues, and determines the most effective ways to maximize the airtightness, insulation levels, and overall comfort and energy efficiency of the building and its systems. A written scope of work and estimate, based on the report's recommendations, is then prepared. Comfy House will then complete the energy retrofit in a timely, complete and precise manner. Energy retrofits vary greatly from home to home, in terms of time, cost, and level of difficulty. Prior to the work, Comfy House will communicate with the homeowner to make them aware of the project's scope and level of difficulty, and work with them on a schedule.
