Comfy House utilizes a range of equipment in evaluating homes for air tightness, air leakage, heat loss/heat gain, HVAC efficiency and safety. Tests that we conduct include:

Blower Door Test - measures the overall building airtightness (in cubic feet per minute (cfm)

Duct Blast Test - measures the airtightness of the ducts (in cubic feet per minute (cfm)

Infrared Thermography - measures the temperature of exterior surfaces, such as walls, floors and ceilings, to determine air sealing and insulation weak spots where heat loss/heat gains are occurring

Air Balancing Test - tests air flows and pressures at duct registers and HVAC equipment to measure the overall balancing and efficiency of the HVAC system

Combustion Safety Testing - tests carbon monoxide level, exhaust spillage and draft at gas, oil or propane fired equipment to ensure that the equipment is operating safely and efficiently. 

These tests can be conducted as part of an energy audit or independently if the issue does not require and audit. But regardless of the issue, Comfy House will find the problem.
