Code Compliant Heat Loss and heat Gain Calculations
No software enables ameratures to perform accurate calculations. There are various trade variables that must be entered properly to get accurate results.
We offer two types and of heat loss and gain calculations. Some people need basic calculations for a replcement furnace or air conditioner, (Block) while others need very detailed calculations (Room by Room) for new distribution systems, code compliance, tax incentives, and energy rating systems. We are here to assist with all of these needs. Block calculations start at $79.00 and Room by room calculations start at only $129.00 for the first 1500 Sq. Ft.
Rescheck and Fla Res Code Compliance Reports
Rescheck is necessary in somewhere around 40 states in order to get a building permit. It is a U. S. DOE software based report that proves compliance with energy codes. Fla Res is Florida's Energy Gauge Code Compliance Report. Because of Florida's unique climate and building standards, they have developed their own enrgy efficiency standard. Both reports start at $79 for additions and $99.00 for the entire house. Very large or complex houses may be more.

Many of our clients come to us via equipment wholesalers. They are either building or rennovating on their own and they need help. We assist with design services so that they can deal effectively with contractors and equipment suppliers.
Ductwork Design Diagrams
Ductwork is the equivalent fo a forced air comfort systems arteries. Good ductwork equals good airflow and uniform comfort. Poor ductwork results in uneven comfort and higher energy cost. Proper sizing is not enough. Flow throughout each individual space is essential. Hand drawn ductwork design diagrams on your background start at $169.00 for the first 1500 Sq. Ft. per floor. Radiant Heating Systems
Pipes are the vascular system of houses with hot water heating systems. Comfort and efficiency with these systems must be designed in. Pipes valves, expansion tanks, convectors, boilers and pumps must be must be accurately matched. We have over 15 years of experience in residential hydronic design.
Specialty Systems, Make-up Air and Energy Recovery
Some houses are so tight that they must have air coming in from outside to provide proper ventilation. This air is brought in more efficiently with heat and energy recovery ventilators.(Quotation only)
PA Home Energy Audits
This is an onsite service that we will perform in Western Pennsylvania. Pennsylvanians with "energy monster" problems should not miss out on this program
We will go to your house, perform test and pinpoint the safest most cost effective ways to save energy. We will then offer to help you shop for qualified contractors to perform the work. When the work is done and before it is paid for, we will then offer to test to assure that efficiency objectives were met.
This program is sponsored by The West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund and Allegheny Power. Low interest unsecured financing for improvements is available through the PA Home Energy Loan Program.
We anticipate great results with this program. In fact it is likely that in older homes energy savings will offset energy investment installments.

Energy Star Home Energy Ratings(HERS Ratings)
This is an onsite Home Energy Rating service that we will perform in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia. It assures new home buyers that the new home that they are purchasing is at least 15% more efficient than IECC 2004. Benefits are tax savings, easier mortgage qualification, greater durability and Energy savings for the life of the home. In this program we work with Energy Star contractors while the house is being built to assure that efficiency is built in. LEED for Homes, consulting and facilitation
The LEED designation is the most widely accepted standard for sustainable design in new construction. Efficiency is built into homes from conception to completion.
Plus, focus is placed on features such as: erosion control, drainage,renewable materials, low VOC materials, light pollution, day-lighting and durability. In order be of best assistance we must be in on this project in the early design phase.
